Rare Tandoori Tribe in the Amazon
This photo shows previously ‘uncontacted Indians’ living in Brazil, close to the border of Peru.
‘We did the overflight to show their houses, to show they are there, to show they exist,’ said Jose Carlos Meirelles, an official with Brazil’s Indian protection agency who was on the helicopter that spotted the tribe. “While we are getting arrows in the face, it’s fine, the day that they are well-behaved, they are finished.”
Meirelles was part of an expedition to prove the existence of the tribe, he says, in order to help them, not to steal their land, trees, plants, women, male member enlargement potions. He said their land is being encroached upon and it’s inevitable that they will be facing contact with outsiders due to development.
