KOONS AND MOVIE ROOF-IES
Our favorite Publisher & Event Coordinator of CHIEF MAGAZINE and CHIEF RECORDS big cheese… (and now, apparently, committed romantic softie) Andy Smith offers these New York summertime tips.
“If you’re looking for someplace to take your lady, grab your button-up shirt and walk her through Central Park, and hit the roof for the Jeff Koons on the Roof Exhibition Trust me, Koons is like Spanish Fly! Open ’till 4:30pm during the week, though I suggest Friday or Saturday 5:30-8:30pm when the Martini Bar is open. Trust me.”
“Film, music, open bar… what more could you ask for? Bust out your short shorts and hit any of the Rooftop Film events this week. The website can be a bit overwhelming, but seriously, ANY of these events make for a fine evening. Who needs AC when there’s outdoor cinema with an open bar?”
You should also check out ChiefMag.com’s “Best and Brightest: Spring Showcase” at the Arm in Brooklyn.
One of the artists who showed their work is Jeff Barnett-Winsby – a super great photographer.
